York Minster inspired brand pattern
York City Football Club Centenary Crest
In 2022, I was brought in to design York City F.C.'s historic centenary crest. Inspired by past identities and conversations with passionate, lifelong York City F.C. supporters, this special edition crest will be used to celebrate 100 years of York City Football Club.

York Minster inspired brand pattern
In addition to designing York City F.C.'s centenary crest, I also designed a brand pattern that drew inspiration from York's famous Minster. This brand pattern would be used on the football club's kits for the 2022/23 season. I looked at the shapes that made the Minster so unique and abstractly placed them together to form the kit's base pattern. If you look at the kit's design, you can see key York Minster features such as 'The Rose Window' and the 'Five Sisters' (amongst other recognisable features) woven into the design.
